Atlanta United 2-0 Philadelphia Union: DSS fan ratings

We reveal your ratings of Atlanta United’s MLS Cup playoff win over the Philadelphia Union

MLS: MLS Cup Playoffs-Semifinals-Philadelphia Union at Atlanta United FC Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta United defeated the Philadelphia Union 2-0 Thursday to advance to the MLS Cup Playoff Eastern Conference Final, and did so while battling attrition on the back line. Florentin Pogba slotted in at center back for the Five Stripes while Mikey Ambrose — a player who’s logged the majority of his minutes this season with Atlanta United 2 — got the surprise start at left back. Both played well and showed the quality in depth Atlanta possesses.

Man of the Match: Julian Gressel

Despite Pity Martinez playing well in his return to Frank de Boer’s starting lineup, y’all gave the honor to the German who patrolled the right flank in tandem with Franco Escobar. Gressel scored a peach of a goal in the 10th minute with a delicate chipped shot that kissed the bar on its way in, then assisted Josef Martinez for his spectacular goal at the death.
