In case you’ve forgotten or unaware, this year’s playoff format has changed and has become a lot more unforgiving than in the past. Every round is now single-elimination format, meaning one slip-up and you’re out.
These two teams met in the regular season finale with Atlanta coming out on top 3-1.
It’s unknown how MLS and their TV partners divvy up the games. Seattle and FC Dallas will air on FOX Sports 1 just 30 minutes after Atlanta United’s match kicks off. The Five Stripes match only being available through Spanish language channels isn’t ideal, but perhaps the Atlanta Falcons having a game on Sunday played a part in that. (Update: Atlanta United say the game will be shown locally on FSSE)
Nevertheless, we’re 12 days away from the playoffs kicking off.
