CS Herediano vs. Atlanta United: Final score 3-1, Post-match reaction

You rate, you react.

MLS: CONCACAF Champions League-Club America at Montreal Impact Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta United got its first taste of Concacaf Champions League action and all the chicanery and weirdness that comes with it in a 3-1 loss to CS Herediano in Costa Rica Thursday night. The wind was blowing, the pitch was bouncy, the referee lost his notebook in the first half, and the lighting was questionable. But most of all, Atlanta United struggled to organize themselves defensively, conceding two first half goals and allowing even more quality chances throughout the match. Julian Gressel scratched one back late in the first half on a deflected shot, but Herediano added a third goal early in the second half to stem the tide.

Instead of giving you our player ratings, we what to know what you think. Below is a ratings form for you to fill out with how you rate each Atlanta United player’s performance. After a day/night of voting, we’ll tabulate the ratings and reveal them with the top rated player being named our site’s Man of the Match. Feel free to head down to the comments section and leave your thoughts on the match as a whole or give your detailed explanation of your ratings.
