If there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that the Five Stripes don’t stop. But while that’s indubitably true, it’s also true that the Five Stripes do, from time to time, take detours. This is evidenced by the team steering clear of ITP and the madness that surrounds the annual Monster Jam festival of noise, and also the the team’s 3-1 defeat in the first leg of its Concacaf Champions League tie against CS Herediano.

Joe Patrick and J. Sam Jones, the duo comprising one of Dirty South Soccer’s podcast partners Five Stripe Final dive into Thursday’s match and the rest of the existential dread brought into our lives thanks to the way the men kicked the soccer ball a few nights ago.
