Last year, all MLS teams donned a special kit during the week of Earth Day that was “built of technical yarns made using Parley Ocean Plastic”. Basically, these kits are extremely environmental-friendly. Atlanta United wore theirs in an away match against the LA Galaxy. It was a charcoal-like grey with white trim.
This year’s crop of MLS Parley kits have been uncovered by King FootyHeadlines, leaker of kits, first of their name.

There are two styles of kits, one a very dark blue with an aquamarine/teal-type of trim. The other is just the reverse of the two. It appears that Atlanta will be donning the lighter of the two.

No date has been given for when they’ll wear these, but common sense says it’ll be around Earth Day which is April 22. United plays FC Dallas on April 20 and Colorado Rapids on April 27. Both of those matches will be at home, so you guys should get a great firsthand look at the new dreads.
What do you think about this year’s design. Obviously the cause for using them is great, but it’s nice to have a cool looking kit too. You buying?
