Martinez earned his first two senior caps under Scaloni in September 2018, with Pity scoring in his debut against Guatemala.
Argentina will play Josef Martinez’s Venezuela in Madrid on March 22, followed by a match with Morocco in Rabat, Morocco on March 26.
It’s an impressive call for Martinez to receive considering the strength of the squad compiled by Scaloni. He’ll participate in camp alongside Lionel Messi, Paulo Dybala, Angel Di Maria, and many more of the country’s best players who are excelling at Europes biggest clubs.
Atlanta United plays the Philadelphia Union on March 17 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium before some players leave for national team duty. The first match the team will play following the international break is the Columbus Crew on March 30. The semifinals of the Concacaf Champions League take place the following week on April 3, and would make for a tight schedule for some of Frank de Boer’s key players if Atlanta is still alive in the competition.
