Things may not be going too well for Atlanta United in MLS at the moment, but they’re having better luck halfway across the world. Ezequiel Barco, away on international duty with Argentina at the U-20 World Cup, is still scoring amazing goals.
The youngster started Argentina’s group stage opener against South Africa and gave his team the lead in the second half with a smashing penalty kick that left the opposing goalkeeper with no chance despite guessing the right way.

While that finish was nice, he followed it up soon after with another breathtaking goal, similar to a few we’ve already been treated to this season. He took a ball over the took in stride and curled a first-time shot into the top corner to give Argentina a 3-1 lead.

What a goal from a player who is in tremendous form. Even his teammates back in Atlanta were impressed:

$15 million well spent.
