Update: Barco has been named Player of the Week. Well done. Now let’s get him the Goal of the week.
After another scintillating performance, Ezequiel Barco has once again been nominated for two weekly Major League Soccer awards.
For his one goal, one assist (and one shot that led to another goal) performance against Sporting Kansas City, the youngster has been put up for the Player of the Week award. He’s up against three other jabronis no one has ever heard of.

To vote, simply click on the above tweet and click on Barco’s hashtag and tweet out the message it fills out for you. Boom. Let’s get it done.
The second award is one he’s familiar with. He’s been nominated for the Goal of the Week award for the second time this season thanks to his great low strike against Sporting that made it 2-0 at the time.
Barcoooooo!@ATLUTD double their lead. 2-0. #SKCvATL https://t.co/6uLAvhm50K

Barco won the award earlier this season with his unbelievable curler against New England.
At the time of writing, Barco only has 14 percent of the vote, compared to Cristian Roldan’s 69 percent. Is Barco’s goal better than Roldan’s? Probably not. Do we care? We do not. Stuff those votes and get him this award because we can and also because we invented soccer not Seattle.
