The United States Women’s National Team is in France trying to win their fourth World Cup and repeat as champs. Fayette County’s own Kelley O’Hara is starting at right back and is... well giving the Thailand defense a difficult time today.
It seemed like the US had grabbed a quick goal but it was called back for offside and that’s when O’Hara jumped in her golf cart and drove past the entire Thailand backline to set up Alex Morgan for the opening goal.
This one counts! @AlexMorgan13 scores her 4th career #FIFAWWC goal to give the U.S. the early lead on a @Kelleymohara assist. pic.twitter.com/hiCgNcLYbr

I can’t tell if it’s an EZGO or a Club Car but it’s definitely an assist in the World Cup. O’Hara hasn’t had much to do defense wise, but she’s an absolute monster at left back - a few minutes after the assist she barreled through the Thailand defensive third and won this ball.
You can see the precise moment when Kelley O'Hara's brain made the "chooo chooo" train noise. And then all I did was point to the sky and say a lil prayer for whatever came next. pic.twitter.com/bartTG3cbZ

She really embodies the well known motto of the golf cart capital of Georgia - PEACHTREE CITY AIN’T NOTHIN TO MESS WITH, or unincorporated Fayette County or Starrs Mill or whatever. I get the feeling we’ll be seeing more O’Hara highlights as the game and tournament goes on.
