Charleston Battery vs. Atlanta United, U.S. Open Cup 2019 live stream: Time, TV schedule and lineups

Let’s try this again.

MLS: U.S. Open Cup-Charleston Battery vs Atlanta United FC Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Two days after their postponed Fourth Round U.S. Open Cup match in Charleston, the Battery will come to Kennesaw’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium to play Atlanta United behind closed doors. It’s not the most ideal scenario to get this match played, especially for the supporters who traveled to Charleston for the postponement. But, I think we can all agree this is better than players risking major injury on an unplayable and embarrassing field.

Frank de Boer has already named a starting lineup for this one an hour before the cancellation happened. It looked like this:

Kann; Escobar, Robinson, Pogba, Ambrose; Larentowicz, Nagbe, Carleton; G. Martinez, Williams, Pereira

Since the match hadn’t started yet, De Boer has the ability to tweak the lineup if he chooses. Hopefully he doesn’t because that looks like a fun and interesting XI to watch.

The Battery sit a modest 8th in the USL Championship Eastern conference. They have five wins, five draws and three losses during their league season so far. Charleston defeated the Birmingham Legion in the third round to reach this stage.

It’s time to catch some cup fever!
