First came “strawberry and concrete” then the “king peach”. Now it appears Atlanta United will finally receive a secondary kit themed more towards their color scheme. The preeminent kit leakers of our time have blessed us with some general details of what next season’s secondary kit will look like.
Footy Headlines revealed on Monday that the Five Stripes will get some much-needed gold infused into their wardrobe. The leaks says that the secondary kit will remain predominantly white, but will now feature gold trim instead of peach. The shade of gold is said to be the exact same that is currently featured on the home kit.
They also offer this tidbit of detail:
The Atlanta United 2020 away kit by Adidas will be mainly white with the 3 Stripes and logos appearing in ‘light football gold’.
It seems to be a league-wide theme to have a white secondary kit. So, I’m not sure Atlanta United had much say in that matter. However, it’s good to see them finally take an actual color from their logo and build around it. Many have been asking for gold to be used and it looks like we’re getting our wish.
The leak states that the new secondary kit is set to release in February of 2020.
