Atlanta United 2-0 D.C. United: Post-match reaction

After starting the game on the bench, Pity Martínez came on in the second half to provide the game winning goal for Atlanta United in a scrappy 2-0 win over D.C. United Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Things looked bleak after Josef Martínez uncharacteristically missed a second half penalty, but Atlanta persisted and, in the end, got its winner and a cherry on top from Martínez.
