I’m a huge fan of the time travel genre. There’s an amazing German tv show on Netflix called Dark that tackles the subject better than anything I’ve ever seen. Basically, time travel is a series of 33 years in this world. Something to do with the sun or astrology or something beyond my comprehension. Characters in this show travel in time between at least five different periods, all spaced out 33 years from each other. The story begins in modern day 2019 and goes as far back as 1921 and up to 2052. It’s a really good watch and I recommend it to anyone fascinated by the genre or idea of time travel.

What I’m trying to say is, hopefully someone 33 years from now comes back to Wednesday July 3rd, 2019 and tells Frank de Boer to give a better team talk ahead of that Chicago Fire match. Geez.

Onwards and upwards, as they say. If the team can’t get up for this one, there is something terribly wrong. The Red Bulls-Atlanta United series has been kinda one-sided to be completely honest. The team from New Jersey have been Atlanta’s daddy in the regular season. If not for last year’s playoffs and Chris Armas deciding to abandon a proven effective gameplan in Atlanta and blowing another MLS Cup run for his club, anyone calling this series a rivalry would be looked at funny. But here we are. Both teams despise each other. Both teams want to win at all costs. Both fan bases hate each other. If that’s not a rivalry, I don’t know what is.

Can Atlanta United finally beat the Red Bulls in the regular season? Or will their dominance over the Five Stripes continue? Will the Red Bulls finally claim New Jersey or keep pretending they play in New York? Will Red Bulls fans finally understand what sarcasm is on the internet and learn to take obvious jokes? All of these questions will hopefully be answered today!

Atlanta United’s Lineup:

Hopefully better than Wednesday

New York Red Bulls’s Lineup:

Brian White and another random white dude who will score, probably
