Since joining the club, manager Frank de Boer has been giving a lot of praise to Hyndman.
“I think he has high intensity with a lot of duels and everything. He’s not the biggest, but he dealt well with it and I think that’s the reason why we think he can also manage in this league.” — Frank de Boer; Source: Pro Soccer USA
De Boer also believes Hyndman’s time in the Scottish Premiership will help make his transition to the MLS seamless.
“I think comparing the Scotland league and this league, it’s a little bit the same intensity”.
It was also later reported, that Hyndman will be wearing the number 16 jersey with the Five Stripes.
