In an important match for both teams, it looked as if the Philadelphia Union and Atlanta United were destined to go to their respective locker rooms knotted at 0-0 after an earlier goal by Kacper Przybylko was wiped out on an offside. Josef Martinez, though, had other ideas.
This is one of the best goals in @ATLUTD history.

The initial ball from Pity Martinez, the spin from Josef, the touch by Darlington Nagbe...drink it in. And watch it again and again for good measure.
Although Josef had missed on a couple of solid chances earlier in the half that could have seen him up his goal total, he was never missing this one. And while it wasn’t Jeff Larentowicz’s banger against Club América a few weeks ago in Campeones Cup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, it might be the prettiest goal of the season for Atlanta.
Oh, by the way, that’s 13 straight MLS matches with a goal for Josef Martinez and 23 on the season. The King is still the King.
