Atlanta United returned to winning ways Saturday, and did so in style against the LA Galaxy with a 3-0 win in front of a record attendance at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The goals largely came courtesy of Galaxy defenders committing own goals, but the errors weren’t unforced. Pity Martínez and Ezequiel Barco were dynamic, connecting with Josef Martínez up top and providing Frank de Boer’s side with an attacking thrust that eclipsed anything Atlanta United fans have seen this season.
Man of the Match: Miles Robinson
And after all that glowing prose about the attack, you all named a defender as your man of the match! I can’t blame you though, we here at DSS also named Miles as our Man of the Match, and the reason why is obvious. He was almost like a one-man defense, snuffing out Uriel Atuña as he tried his best to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I’m sure Miles would’ve dominated him too though. ;)
