Atlanta United is getting right tonight in Washington D.C. as they ravaged a helpless D.C. United side Saturday night to move them up the league table.
The convincing win was thanks in large part to the play of Jon Gallagher who caused all kinds of problems for the home side, particularly on his second goal of the night.

In this kind of form, expect to see Gallagher’s name on the team sheet for the forseeable future.
But even beyond the goalscorer, this was perhaps the best team goal from the Five Stripes all season. Tidy combination play in the final third has been largely non-existent since last season, and maybe this is not just a flash in the pan, but a sign of life. Goals like this can give players and teams confidence that can carry on in the season and could help propel the team to where they ultimately want to be: the 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs.
