Atlanta United winger Brooks Lennon has one of his best performances of his career against D.C. United in Saturday’s 4-0 win. His goal and two assists showing earned him not one but two MLS weekly award nominations.
His left-footed rocket to make it 2-0 against the Fightin’ Ben Olsens was one of five goals nominated for Goal of the Week, which was announced as the winner on Tuesday afternoon.
No worries 17s, we will pin this magic to our feed

Lennon was also up for MLS’s Player of the Week award thanks to his brilliant showing. His competition in this category is Alejandro Pozuelo (TFC), Alan Pulido (SKC) and Joe Willis (NSH), with Pulido winning the honor.
I think we can all agree that Brooks deserved GOTW, and frankly we all deserve it for how things have gone this season. Hats off to the keyboard army for coming through again.
