Lennon’s procedure was on his ankle, while Kann’s was on his shoulder. Both are described as “clean-up” procedures.
The resumption of the CCL will take place in Orlando from December 15-22. The Five Stripes are scheduled to play Club America on either the 15th or 16th in the second leg. Atlanta trails on aggregate 3-0 coming into the concluding match. Miguel Herrera’s side easily handled a floundering Atlanta United side in the last match before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic in March.
Lennon played a big part in Atlanta during his first season with the club, playing as either a right-sided defender or winger.
His absence will only complicate matters further for the club as they will have to navigate around their end-of-season contract option decisions when picking a roster to take down to Florida.
Kann did not appear in a single competitive match in 2020 for the team.
