Atlanta United announces provisional roster for Concacaf Champions League restart

Five Atlanta United 2 players make the roster and will be eligible to play vs. Club America.

Atlanta United announced its provisional roster for the teams resumption of play in the Concacaf Champions League, which includes 32 players — 5 of which are from the club’s USL affiliate.

Atlanta United will need to overturn a 3-0 deficit against Liga MX’s Club America if it is to play beyond the dates of the quarterfinal matchups, which Concacaf announced this month will take place December 15-16.

There may be more be more Academy and Atlanta United 2 players that are involved in training sessions to help make up numbers, but only players that are on this list will be eligible for the final roster and a chance to participate in the competition. This roster could also be pared down prior to the competition if year-end moves are announced and players have options declined.

Here’s the list released by the club this morning:

Defenders (11): George Bello, George Campbell, Edgar Castillo, Franco Escobar, Jack Gurr*, Brooks Lennon^, Fernando Meza, Miles Robinson, Anton Walkes, Laurence Wyke

Midfielders (12): Mo Adams, Ezequiel Barco, Manuel Castro, Jürgen Damm, Jon Gallagher, Emerson Hyndman, Jeff Larentowicz, Marcelino Moreno, Jake Mulraney, Eric Remedi, Matheus Rossetto, Tyler Wolff

Forwards (5): Jackson Conway*, Phillip Goodrum*, Adam Jahn, Erik Lopez*, Josef Martinez^, Erick “Cubo” Torres
