Atlanta United announces official 25-man roster to finish 2020 Concacaf Champions League

Some young players could get an opportunity vs. Club America

Having previously announced a provisional squad that would participate in training ahead of Atlanta United’s CCL quarterfinal second leg against Club America, the club announced today the group that will go into the bubble in Orlando.

Included are all of the Atlanta United 2 players named in the provisional group: GK Ben Lungaard, RB Jack Gurr, and FWs Jackson Conway, Erik Lopez, and Phillip Goodrum. Conway was made a first team player when he signed a homegrown player deal last week, while Lopez has long been considered a first team player since his signing from Olimpia this summer.

Hopefully we get to see as many of these youngsters as possible as the team finishes off a tie that is largely a dead rubber. The team currently trails Club America 3-0 after the first leg that was played in March.

The 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League is set to take place Dec. 15-22 at Exploria Stadium in Orlando. Atlanta will take on Club America in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 8:00 p.m.
