A new season, a new year, a new schedule for fans to dig into. The North Carolina Courage open the 2020 National Women’s Soccer League with a home game against the team they beat in last year’s NWSL Championship. That’s right, a Sam Kerr-less Chicago Red Stars will make the trip to Cary to face the two time NWSL Championship winners.
Expansion has yet to fully form within the NWSL so the NC Courage are set to play 24 games this season with the aim of winning another NWSL Shield and a third consecutive NWSL Championship. Even with the Olympic break scheduled for this season, the Courage have a fairly balanced schedule and will look to try and keep the momentum going when their national team players head off for Tokyo in the summer.
