In an expansion of a previous marketing partnership, Atlanta United announced Tuesday that the first team will wear Piedmont Healthcare’s name on its sleeve, while Atlanta United 2 will have the healthcare company as its primary kit sponsor. Sleeve sponsors are new to MLS kits in 2020.

From the team’s press release:

“Piedmont Healthcare is an industry leader with a strong record on quality and safety and we’re thrilled to expand our successful partnership,” Atlanta United President Darren Eales said. “Innovating continuously is a core value at the Blank Family of Businesses and we’re excited that we’ll become only the second MLS team to utilize the sleeve sponsor.”

In March of 2018, Piedmont Healthcare became the Official Adult Healthcare Partner of Atlanta United and ATL UTD 2, providing a Chief Medical Officer for both teams. Those responsibilities included overseeing and providing medical care to all of the club’s professional players. In addition to the kit sponsorships, Piedmont Healthcare will become the presenting sponsor of all Atlanta United local TV broadcasts on FOX Sports South, FOX Sports Southeast and the FOX Sports Go app.

Piedmont Healthcare is a private, not-for-profit organization with nearly 750 locations serving nearly 2.5 million patients across Georgia.
