Atlanta United has signed former Atlanta United 2 defender Laurence Wyke to a permanent deal with the first team.
The deal comes off the back of a successful 45-minutes of MLS play as Wyke was forced to help Atlanta close out a 2-1 win over Nashville SC on Saturday. Wyke had reportedly signed a special Short-Term Agreement that allowed him to participate despite not having a permanent contract with the first team. He came on as a substitute at right center back for an injured Franco Escobar and made one interception, two clearances and two ball recoveries.
Had an unexpected journey but so thankful for the blessings! One of the best moments of my life thus far! Hopefully more good things to come ⚫️ #atlutd #UniteAndConquer #3Puntos https://t.co/bs5HUk90c2
