With only a few days left (and a team....dropping out) until the start of the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup, the North Carolina Courage have announced a seemingly full strength team for the tournament.
The likes of Lynn Williams, Crystal Dunn, Debinha and Samantha Mewis are all set to feature in the Challenge Cup and we may see rookies like Sinclaire Miramontez and Ally Watt get some minutes.
Unlike other teams, the Courage have all of their USWNT members set to play in the tournament which makes them one of the strongest teams in the Challenge Cup. The Courage will look to once again dominate proceedings in the National Women’s Soccer League and could do so due to just how strong, and consistent, their roster is. While other teams will be missing key players, the NC Courage will have a solid starting eleven and a deep bench should substitutes be needed to change a match. All in all, expect the Courage to do very well at the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup and quite possibly win everything there is to win the NWSL once again.

Schedule change
Due to the Orlando Pride having to withdraw from the competition, the Challenge Cup schedule has changed for the Courage. The Courage will now play Portland Thorns FC on opening day, then the the Washington Spirit, Chicago Red Stars and finally Sky Blue FC. It’s a short turnaround for head coach Paul Riley to adjust his tactics for his new opponents but with how well Riley has managed the Courage throughout his tenure, the adjustments may not take long to settle within his team.
