On Monday, Atlanta United and ATL UTD 2 announced a total of three roster moves that will increase the personnel options for both sides heading into the resumption of the 2020 season.
Two pieces of loan business was confirmed for the first-team with the announcement that Jon Gallagher has returned to the club from his loan with Aberdeen. Gallagher, Atlanta’s No. 14 overall SuperDraft pick in 2018, appeared a total of 33 times for the SPL side during his year-long loan spell. He is a versatile wing player who can play in the attack and on the back line.
In addition to welcoming back a player, another one has extended their stay in Atlanta. Manuel Castro’s loan from Estudiantes has been extended until the end of 2020. Castro joined the club in the winter and appeared just once before the season was suspended.
