Silly season is heating up in a big way this week. A few days after Taylor Twellman reported that Atlanta United was interested in Monterrey’s Jonathan Gonzalez, the Mexican-American posted what appeared to be a farewell message to his Instagram story.

The picture showed a shot of Gonzalez’s locker before the club’s match against Toluca with the caption “The Last Dance”.
Reports out of Mexico suggest that Atlanta United is indeed the destination for the 21-year-old midfielder. While the details still seem sketchy, the deal could include an initial loan with an option to buy in the future.
