Looking ahead to Atlanta United 2’s USL “re-opener” with Stephen Glass

Atlanta United 2 returns to USL play July 11 at 7:30 p.m. ET against Tampa Bay Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium. The match will be streamed on ESPN+. We chatted with manager Stephen Glass about how he and the players have gotten on during the hiatus, what he thinks about the season resuming, and we discuss all the latest happenings since the break.

Nine games are scheduled between July 11-13, with five of those contests to be aired live on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes.

Atlanta’s only match of the 2020 season to-date occurred on March 8 against Charleston Battery. For the remaining 15 matches of the 2020 USL Championship regular season, Atlanta United 2 has been placed in Group H with the Battery, Miami FC and Tampa Bay. Over the course of the season, they will play each of the other Group H teams four times, while the remaining matches will come against teams in proximate geographic regions.
