The MLS regular season is back underway in Atlanta as they face-off against Nashville SC for the second time this season. The first time they played was in February with Atlanta United coming out with the win 2-1.
With this being Stephen Glass’ debut match as manager of the first team, it’s hard to predict what his starting XI could be. Some players have already expressed where they have been playing in training sessions in some press conferences.
Emerson Hyndman said that he has been moved higher up the pitch under Stephen Glass.

Hyndman, a creative player, was playing deeper under De Boer, as s No. 6, a role similar to what Darlington Nagbe had. https://t.co/9YuW0VkUia
In addition, Pity Martinez says he's been playing on the left wing in training. Most of his success at River came from that position. Something to look for on Saturday.

My predicted lineup:

With Pity saying he’s been playing on the left-wing in training, it all inclines that Glass will try and start with a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 variation. The defense will not change too much, but it could be possible that Lennon will get the start over Escobar.
There were a lot of gaps in the midfield in Orlando. Having an extra player like Larentowicz pairing with Remedi can help out close those spaces and let Hyndman push further up the field behind the forwards.
The one thing that has to change is the attack. After failing to score in all three games in the MLS is Back Tournament, Stephen Glass’s biggest challenge will be how to unlock that attack and get Atlanta United scoring again.
How do you see the lineup shaking out? Let us know below.
