Less than two months ago Frank de Boer was ousted from a head coaching job for the third time and appeared to be trending as low as possible. Today, it seems that the former Atlanta United manager is set to land his dream job.
Multiple reports suggest that the recently departed De Boer is the top candidate for the open manager job for the Netherlands national team.

The Dutch legend spoke to FOX Sports on Sunday, proclaiming his affinity for the position:
“I think it is a great honour if you can be the national coach of this country,” De Boer said. “Besides prime minister, it is perhaps the most important job in the Netherlands.”
The Dutch FA (KNVB) are in a hurry to fill the open job left by Ronald Koeman, who left in August to take the lead of FC Barcelona. The team has three matches next month, including a friendly against Mexico and two Nations League matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy.
De Boer and Atlanta United mutually agreed to part ways on July 24 after finishing without a single goal or point in three matches at the MLS is Back Tournament in Orlando.
