As repeated seemingly every game, Atlanta United continues to struggle in the same areas. Stephen Glass tried something different with the lineup against Nashville adding Adam Jahn into the lineup to play next to Cubo Torres. He also gave Tyler Wolff a start, but in the end, nothing changed.

Like I’ve said many times, It’s the same problems in the attack and defense that continue to haunt Atlanta United throughout these matches. Glass needs a win to turn the season around. How will he lineup?
My predicted XI vs. Inter Miami:

Defense:
After a couple of weeks of being out injured, Fernando Meza should be back to full fitness and ready to start vs. Miami. Meza back into the starting lineup could be a huge boost of experience and energy that is very much needed in that backline.
Midfield:
The game against Inter Miami will be mostly fought in the midfield. I added Jeff Larentowicz into the lineup with Eric Remedi to have more defense and physicality. If they can both play well together, there will be a lot of control and protection for Matheus Rossetto to string passes along moving forward, which Atlanta has struggled with.
Attack:
The attack hardly ever changes under Glass. He continues to try out Brooks Lennon wide in the attack, which I’m not sure has worked out for him. Cubo has yet to score a goal for Atlanta, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Jahn gets the start over him. If Rossetto can get going and create some chances for Atlanta, it would take a load off Ezequiel Barco, who has tried to do everything himself in the attack.
Wildcard Formation:

This may not be a wildcard, but it’s something I would like to see Atlanta United play. As I said before, the game will be fought in the midfield: the more control, the better. Adding Emerson Hyndman can give Atlanta a much better balance defending and going forward while also unlocking Barco to move more freely around the field.
