He’s done it again. After scoring the Goal of the Season in 2019 in Cincinnati, he’s gone and put the three-time Wooden Spoon winners (losers?) on a poster again. With his side deadlocked 1-1 late in the second half, the former MVP and Golden Boot winner took a high ball in the box on the volley and smashed it past Kenneth Vermeer for a sensational go-ahead goal.
The Venezuelan Viper has scored his far share of world class goals during his time in Atlanta, but as far as pure technique goes, this one ranks near the top. We’ll see if the Goal of the Week and Season nominations agree.
