Atlanta United announced today it has waived backup striker Adam Jahn.
Jahn was acquired from the USL ranks prior to last season after the team lost Brandon Vazquez in the expansion draft, but the striker was never able to get in a good rhythm with teammates and make an impact on a side that struggled to get anything going in attack.
Jahn’s place on the roster was under pressure since the team signed teenage prospect Jackson Conway to a homegrown player deal late last year. It became apparent there’d be no room for him in the inn when the team recently added veteran striker Lisandro Lopez to the roster from Racing Club.
Best of luck to Adam in the future.
