Atlanta United and Philadelphia Union will meet in an all-MLS Concacaf Champions League quarterfinal.

The first leg date and time is still to be determined, but will take place between a window of April 27-29 with the return leg happening between May 4-6.

This is the first time Atlanta United has ever played another MLS club in their CCL history. It’s also the first time in three attempts that they won’t play a Liga MX team in the quarterfinal stage of the competition.

Philadelphia are riding high after a resounding 5-0 aggregate victory over Costa Rican powerhouse Deportivo Saprissa. After winning the 2020 MLS Supporters’ Shield, the Union have to be considered the favorites heading into the matchup against the Five Stripes who are still adjusting to a new manager with a new style of play.

What do you make of this matchup? How confident are you that Atlanta will finally get past the quarterfinals? Sound off below.
