Atlanta United return home for the first time since the firing of Gabriel Heinze as manager. The home crowd should be a much better mood than last weekend with Josef Martinez in the mix and on the heels of an inspired performance on the road in Cincinnati that earned them a point.
Interim manager Rob Valentino will lead the Five Stripes in his second match as he looks to earn his first career win. Can he get his side to continue with their free-flowing attacking style against a much better team in the Columbus Crew? This match could tell us a lot about Atlanta’s chances at climbing out of the hole and getting above the red playoff line.
This match will air on national broadcast television on ABC and will kick off just after 3:30 p.m. ET.
