Can the Five Stripes find a result at Soldier Field?

MLS: Chicago Fire at Atlanta United FC Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight, Atlanta United ventures north to the Windy City to pay a visit to the last place Chicago Fire in an attempt to return to winning ways. Things won’t be easy though, as the Five Stripes have a painfully long list of absent players which will make putting a stop to a five match winless run a daunting task. That list grows even more in the next week, so getting all three points from Chicago is even more important for this squad, and the one win in ten Fire are a prime opponent to have.

Broadcast plans for the match are pretty much the same as last weekend’s Red Bulls game, with televised coverage provided through Bally Sports South (cue the boos). For those without a way to watch, you can still listen in on the match in English on Star 94.1 FM and Spanish via La Mejor 1600 AM.

Before we reach our 8:08 kickoff time, be sure to check out our match preview, Q&A, and predicted lineup to prepare, then come back and join us in the match thread below as we hopefully see a winning (and goal scoring) drought come to an end at the hands of the Fire.

This thread will be your match thread. We don’t have many rules here. We just ask that you don’t insult each other personally and treat each other with respect. Debates can get heated and that’s fine, but name-calling and petty insults will get you banned. If you see a comment that you feel is out of line, please report it and it will be dealt with.
