Atlanta United needs help fast. After a demoralizing 3-0 loss to the Chicago Fire on Fourth of July weekend Atlanta United has drifted further away from playoff spots and now sit a distanced 10th in MLS’s Eastern Conference having scored just 11 goals in as many games. To make matters worse (yes, it always gets worse) the team will lose a handful of its best players to international duty starting now. That means that the depleted side that took the field over the weekend with Tyler Wolff in central midfield will need to replace four more of those starters Thursday night.
The good news? The transfer window is here. The Five Stripe Final podcast breaks down the state of the team at this crucial point in the season.
These are tough times but y’all who are sticking with us through this are the reason we love to do this show. We’re with you. We will see the other side of this and it will be glorious.
