Atlanta United at Nashville SC: Match Thread and How to Watch

MLS: Nashville SC at Atlanta United FC Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

A Thursday night matchup in the Music City is next up on the docket tonight for an Atlanta United squad that has not had a very hot summer, to say the least. Last weekend’s uninspiring 3-0 defeat in Chicago continues a victory drought for the Five Stripes that began all the way back in mid-May. Now with an even longer list of missing players due to the busy international schedule, Atlanta visits their geographic neighbors just hoping to stay afloat.

Nashville, unbeaten at home this year, come in off a 1-0 victory over Philadelphia on Saturday, earning their fifth clean sheet of the season. That’s not good news for a team held scoreless in their last three matches, especially not one missing around half its starting lineup. In the optimists’ corner, though, we get a chance to see some young players gain valuable first team minutes to help in their development, and with a little trademark MLS stupidity, anything can happen on the field.
