Following their first win in nearly three months, Atlanta United comes home for a Sunday afternoon meeting with Los Angeles FC. A 3-2 thriller last weekend in Columbus finally broke the dry spell for the Five Stripes thanks to an Ezequiel Barco brace and another fine performance from Marcelino Moreno.

Since then, the team has gone and finalized Gonzalo Pineda as head coach (although he won’t officially start for a few more games), welcomed new DP forward Luiz Araujo to the squad (although his visa status is still up in the air), and have Josef Martinez back for selection (nothing wrong there).

The Five Stripes return not only to the Benz but the national spotlight as well, with today’s match between MLS’ most valuable teams being televised on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.

Can Atlanta take the momentum from their victory over the Crew and grab three more points on home turf against LAFC? Before we find out, head over to our match preview and predicted lineup to get prepared for kickoff, then come and join us back here in the comments below to discuss all this afternoon’s match has to offer.
