A win has become a win streak following Atlanta United’s 1-0 win over LAFC on Sunday. Now, the Five Stripes are back in the Benz once more for a midweek matchup with last place Toronto FC.
Rob Valentino earned a second consecutive victory thanks to Josef Martinez’s goal shortly into the second half, and will be hoping for a third as his time as manager comes to an end tonight. A positive result will set the stage nicely for Gonzalo Pineda’s Saturday debut as Atlanta’s head coach.
One debut we won’t have to wait for is new signing Luiz Araujo, who has been cleared to play and make his first appearance for the team tonight.
Can Atlanta United get the better of one of its historically tougher opponents tonight? Get prepared with our match preview and predicted lineup, then come back to the match thread in the comments below to discuss all the action at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
