The Octagonal is finally here! The United States men’s national team opens its World Cup Qualifying quest with 3 matches in the span of 6 days: 2 away and 1 at home. It all begins on Thursday against El Salvador in San Salvador before the USMNT faces Canada at Nissan Stadium in Nashville and travels to play Honduras in San Pedro Sula on Sep. 8.
On a special USMNT roundtable edition of Five Stripes Tonight, host Sydney Hunte is joined by Bart Keeler (https://www.twitter.com/bartimusprime19), Donald Wine (https://www.twitter.com/blazindw), and Jonathan Slape (https://www.twitter.com/JSlapeSSP) to preview the matches ahead, take a closer look at each country’s rosters, and look into what Gregg Berhalter’s possible strategy will be with such quick turnarounds within this window. The guys also discussed what possible role Atlanta United’s own Miles Robinson could play with a compressed schedule of matches and spotlight which particular players they’re keeping a close watch on.
