For Robinson, it’s no surprise. He’s been one of, if not the best and most consistent USMNT player across the two disappointing draws played so far during the current international break. I, for one, have every bit of confidence that he will continue his good form even in one of the most difficult places to play in CONCACAF.
For Bello, it’s another signal that USMNT manager Gregg Berhalter has faith in the 19-year-old defender after he also gave him the nod to start the Gold Cup Final against Mexico earlier this summer that the United States would go on to win thanks to Robinson’s 117th minute winner.
The downside is that this will mean both players will definitely be unavailable for Atlanta United’s game Friday against Orlando City. Oh well.
Let’s hope for the best result and no injuries!
