ATL UTD 2’s struggles continued on Saturday against the Ottawa Fury. A pair of first-half goals led the hosts to a 2-0 win at TD Place Stadium, sending Atlanta to its fourth straight loss and its seventh consecutive non-winning result.

Ottawa drew first blood in the 26th minute on a nice run along the left side by youngster Adonijah Reid. He then slipped it past a pair of Atlanta defenders in the box toward Carl Haworth - despite a heavy touch, it fell to Steevan Dos Santos who made it 1-0. Less than 10 minutes later, Haworth blasted a free kick past a diving Nico Caraux to make it 2-0 in the 35th.

Outside of a blast by Laurent Kissiedou that was tipped over the bar, Atlanta were held without any major chances today. Ottawa was the better team and really did well to take ATL UTD 2 out of it early. Despite Atlanta’s 10-6 edge in shots, the Fury led 4-2 in shots on target.

Atlanta return home to face winless Toronto FC II at Coolray Field on Wednesday. Kickoff for that match is set for 7pm.
