The Atlanta United social media team is at it again. On Saturday afternoon, the team’s Twitter account came out with this video:
The number 10

Bet you've got an idea... #ATLUTD pic.twitter.com/innBd0gg7c
It’s hard to tell exactly who it’s for, even with the “10” that’s clearly seen toward the end. However, an eagle-eyed viewer was able to make something else out:
@ATLUTD HMMM I WONDER #ATLUTD Miguel Almirón pic.twitter.com/K2xs9bJcTf

This comes not long after ESPN FC’s Arch Bell cited a report from Argentina stating that midfielder Miguel Almiron is on his way from first-division side Lanus to Atlanta United. The videos are in the same style that the team used before announcing the hiring of manager Gerardo Martino in September.
Almiron was wooed by Arsenal in August for $11 million, but Arsenal were unable to get a deal completed before the transfer window closed. Of course, Atlanta United is not (and can’t) saying anything at this point, but getting a player that was in the sights of a club as respected as Arsenal, especially one still in the early stages of his career, would be a significant win at this stage in time. In the meantime, we’ll keep an eye on Twitter to see how they build toward what appears to be an announcement of their newest signing.
