Major League Soccer’s digital department is among the best in all of sports. They cut together some very good an informative videos and this short feature they produced on Atlanta United’s Miguel Almiron is brilliant.

Miggy’s story is one you hear a lot about in the world of soccer. A kid who was deemed too small for professional soccer, works his butt off to become a special talent. The NFL mentality of scouting and projecting big, fast, and strong has plagued American soccer for a long time. But it’s not just limited to our country as his story proves.

Working his way up through Cerro Porteno youth system, he finally made his debut in 2013. Eventually he caught the eye of Lanus in the Argentine Primera League. From there he became one of Tata Martino’s first recruits with Atlanta United. We’ve all seen the stories about him being linked with Arsenal and after getting to watch him play consistently for the last month, it’s easy to see why. It’s a treat to watch him play and we’re lucky to have him.
