Youtube’s Hashtag United get a taste of Atlanta United

FIFA Youtuber Spencer Owen’s team visited Atlanta during their tour of the States, taking in the win over Chicago

Irish Mirror

YouTuber Spencer Owen visited the city of Atlanta during Hashtag United’s tour of America, taking in Atlanta United’s win over the Chicago Fire and was full of praise for the Five Stripes on multiple levels.

For those who don’t know, Spencer runs the hugely successful Spencer FC YouTube channel, where he focuses on videos on the FIFA videogame franchise. He also commentates for eSports tournaments for the game, and has also gone on to found Hashtag United, a team for which he is player-manager, which is what brought him to the ATL, on a tour sponsored by Coca-Cola.

Atlanta was their first stop on the tour, perhaps given the fact that the world of Coca-Cola finds its home in the city, and they were also treated to special VIP tickets to Atlanta United’s win against the Chicago Fire by the company.

Their vlog of the adventure shows a few shots from the game, including Josef Martinez rounding the ‘keeper to get his name on the scoresheet just below them. After the match, Spencer couldn’t have been more complimentary toward the club, citing the great atmosphere at Bobby Dodd as one of the better elements of the day.

The video also takes you through their buildup to a game against the Atlanta United staff, (which they were proud to learn included Carlos Bocanegra), as well as a little walk around the Five Stripes’ training ground. You can watch below.
