Atlanta United acquire two new superfans

It’s been a quiet deadline day for Atlanta United. After making three transactions on Tuesday, nothing has really been happening on the actual day many thought deals would get done. However, that doesn’t mean there hasn’t been excitement around Five Stripes land today. The club’s Instagram account got taken over today by two famous Atlantans that you make recognize:

Mr. Crunk himself, Lil Jon, was seen wondering around Mercedes-Benz Stadium today in his “concrete and strawberry” away kit. He even did his best Josef Martinez impression while on the trainer’s table. He got a peak at the massive video board and the field itself.

Then out of nowhere appeared a wild Big Boi sighting. One half of Atlanta’s world-renowned hip-hop group Outkast finally put on the Five Stripes. Fans have been clamoring for an Outkast endorsement or even a performance. While we’re not quite there yet, this is a sign it could happen.

Perhaps they both were there to try out for the team in case they needed in emergency help. Big Boi looks like he’d be a Gennaro Gattuso type of midfield destroyer, while Lil Jon is more of a full back.
