What a wild, interesting week in Atlanta United world. I won’t dive into it deeply here but feel free to look over the site at the all-angles coverage of what appears to be a rift between Josef Martinez and Gabriel Heinze. And in the midst of all that, the Five Stripes have a match with Eastern Conference table-toppers New England Revolution to worry about as well with still a good chunk of players missing and a few others questionable.
Here’s how I think the lineup will look:
GK—Alec Kann
LWB—Mikey Ambrose
CB—George Campbell
CB—Anton Walkes (c)
RWB—Brooks Lennon
LM—Tyler Wolff
RM—Amar Sejdić
CM—Marcelino Moreno
LW—Machop Chol
RW—Jake Mulraney
ST—Cubo Torres

First off, I know what you’re all thinking right off the bat, so just a note that this is what I think Heinze will do and not necessarily what he should do. He’s gone on record with the media saying that he’s not looking to change anything—which, being honest, is a whole different topic that we can get into later but may tie into the Josef Martinez situation.
I’m fairly certain we will see Amar Sejdić in the lineup today. Santiago Sosa’s yellow-card suspension means a different center-back partner for Anton Walkes, and I think that it’s George Campbell in this particular match.
With that said, what are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below.
